The Mentor Program can assist new and reciprocal lawyers in their transition from law school to a successful law practice by pairing them with an experience lawyer in their local community.
- CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION (CLE)
The Idaho Law Foundation and Practice Section of the Idaho State Bar provide educational programs in specific areas of law, and offer a wide range of publications for purchase.
Live CLE classes are offered statewide throughout the year, on a variety of legal topics. Many of the shorter seminars (1-3 hours) are available to view as a live webcast. Live Program Online Registration is required 48 hours in advance for all webcast participants. Webcast seminars can be viewed from your computer and include the option to email your questions during the program. and many of those are also broadcast via the web.

The Idaho Lawyer Assistance Program (LAP) helps lawyers who are experiencing problems associated with alcohol and/or drug use, or mental health issues. The program also focuses on educating legal professionals and their family and friends about the causes, effects and treatment of alcohol and drug dependency, depression and other mental health problems. The Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) can help build your practice. The LRS fields over 9,500 inquiries annually. Calls are screened and referred to participating lawyers according to their area of practice. The services is a win-win for the public and lawyer.

- IDAHO STATE BAR ANNUAL MEETING
The ISB Annual Meeting is held in mid July, rotating throughout the state. - CLIENT ASSISTANCE FUND
Under special provisions of the Idaho State Bar and Idaho Supreme Court Rules, a fund has been created for maintaining the integrity and protecting the good name of the legal profession by reimbursing claimants for losses caused by dishonest conduct of a lawyer. Under the program, fees are paid by all lawyers throughout the state to assist in compensating members of the public for an Idaho lawyer's dishonest conduct when the claimant has no other recourse to recoup the loss. - LAW RELATED EDUCATION
Law Related Education teaches how the role of law serves as the basis of democratic society. Programs are offered to students in kindergarten through 12th grade. There are many ways to become involved, including the Lawyers in the Classroom Program and the Mock Trial Program.
- CITIZENS' LAW ACADEMY
The Citizens' Law Academy is a multi-week adult public information program designed to help the public understand the laws affecting their daily lives, their rights under the law, what lawyers do, and how the judicial system works. It also focuses on lawyers’ public service, pro bono work and activities that help ensure equal access.
- IDAHO VOLUNTEER LAWYERS PROGRAM
The Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program (IVLP) provides volunteer legal assistance to low-income citizens across the state. IVLP staff screens applicants for income and case eligibility and supports volunteer attorneys as they prepare cases.

- IDAHO STATE BAR BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
The Board of Commissioners is the governing body for the Idaho State Bar. Commissioners are elected by the District Bar members and serve a three-year term. If you have concerns or program ideas regarding the operations of the ISB, please contact your local Bar Commissioner.
