DEFAULT ATTORNEY FEES GUIDELINES (August 5, 2010)
The judges of the Sixth Judicial District have established the following schedule of attorney fees for monetary judgments taken by default. The fee schedule may not apply in cases where there is an itemized affidavit of fees.
- In cases up to $10,000 attorney fees will not exceed the amount of the judgment for the claim up to the maximum of $500 in fees.
- In cases over $10,000 attorney fees will be granted in an amount not to exceed 10% of the judgment for the claim.

CIVIL DEFAULT CHECKLIST AND EXAMPLE FORMS
The checklist and forms have been approved as acceptable by the judges of the Sixth Judicial District and the Sixth District Civil Bench and Bar Committee, and may be used by attorneys in their practice to ensure, at a minimum, that all elements of a default and default judgment submission are met.
